Cheers to 2023! It's been an amazing year!
Just like that, we get to say goodbye to 2023! Thank you 2023 for treating me well. It’s been an amazing year! As a solo founder, sometimes it’s easy to feel like I’m not doing enough, or making progress fast enough. I love this time of year when I take time to reflect on my journey. Every year, I’m filled with gratitude for the experiences I’ve had, the difficult lessons, the internal growth, the people I’ve met, and the accomplishments. I always go so much farther than I’ve realized.
Every year, I like to pick a word for the year and for 2024 the word that resonates with me is CELEBRATE! I love to celebrate! Building a CPG brand is one of the most challenging careers I’ve ever had (and I’ve had many challenging ones) but it’s also the most fulfilling. I think it’s important to CELEBRATE both in our personal life and in business all the “wins” that we have on a daily basis. Those little “wins” is what keeps me going on days when my goals seem impossible.
As I end the year, some of my Wynn’s Kitchen accomplishments of 2023 that I love to celebrate are:
-Launched my No Sugar, Keto Friendly Peanut Sauce (on it’s 1 year birthday, it has almost caught up to the Saté sauce in sales) -and got both sauces Non-GMO Project verified!
-Got into Bristol Farms Mother’s Market & Kitchen Jimbo’s along with 50 new independent grocery stores & boutique shops - We are in over 200 nationwide now and got into UNFI for distribution. (I remember being terrified whenever a buyer would ask me if I have distribution - because I didn’t!)
-Competed in 4 pitch competitions and won People’s Choice Award for Naturally San Diego (I still can’t believe I pitched onstage in front of 400 people!)
-Got TV Features on FOX 5 San Diego (KSWB-TV) and CBS 8 San Diego along with being featured on Nosh.com and BevNET.com, Inc.
- Was accepted into Kylan Ventures portfolio! Christina Bui and Mark Ancipink have supported me in so many ways! And besides that, they are just AMAZING human beings.
