"Find strength in community, I am not afraid of raising each other up" - Maria

Maria is the founder of Cien Chilies from San Diego. She's a female founder and mama just like me. I love that we share the same culture of lifting and supporting each other instead of seeing each other as a threat. 

We all have a secret longing or passion inside of us, and sometimes fear or self doubt unconsciously has us procrastinating. Maria said that she's always had in her mind that she wanted to start her own line of hot sauce products that represents culture in Mexico. But with working full time and being a mom, that dream wasn't a priority until the Pandemic hit and impacted her family financially. That was when her and her husband decided it was time to take action and bring her dreams to life!

I loved hearing about her journey from starting out in a commercial kitchen and hand bottling, labeling with her and her husband in the evenings and weekends to landing on the shelves at whole foods. 

It's a reminder that we all have to start somewhere. The key is to start.
