From Vietnam to Wynn’s Kitchen: A Founder’s Reflection on Being Featured in Forbes
When I started Wynn’s Kitchen in my own home kitchen, I never imagined that one day my story—my family’s immigration story—would be shared in Forbes. It was written beautifully by Daniel Scheffler.
Daniel challenged me to be vulnerable and intimate in my descriptions and experience.

Seeing it there felt surreal. Not just because of the recognition, but because it represents a journey that began long before I ever made my first jar of saté sauce.
Wynn’s Kitchen represents more than Asian sauces on a shelf. It represents the idea that traditional flavors can evolve with modern lifestyles.
"More importantly, it’s opened the door for others to make it at home. That convenience gives curious home cooks the confidence to try a dish they might otherwise skip—allowing me to share a piece of my Vietnamese heritage with a much broader audience.”
Being featured in Forbes gave me a moment to pause and reflect on this journey. It reminded me that behind every product is a story: a family that immigrated, a culture that shaped my palate, and a desire to share those flavors with others in a way that feels both traditional and reimagined.
We are still at the beginning of this journey.
But at this moment—seeing Wynn’s Kitchen featured in Forbes—is one I will always cherish.
It reminds me how far we’ve come.
And how much further we can go.
