Keto-Friendly Soy Ginger Pork Roast

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs boneless pork shoulder roast
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce or coconut aminos
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Wynn's Kitchen Saté Sauce
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 3 tablespoons keto-friendly sweetener (allulose)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Ensure the pork shoulder is at room temperature for even cooking. Score the surface of the pork with a sharp knife in a crosshatch pattern to allow the glaze to penetrate. Generously season the pork with salt and black pepper, rubbing it into the scored areas.
  2. In a bowl, combine soy sauce or coconut aminos, sesame oil, grated fresh ginger, Wynn's Kitchen Saté Sauce, orange juice, Chinese five-spice powder, and keto-friendly sweetener. Adjust proportions to taste. Brush the entire surface of the pork with the glaze, ensuring it gets into the scored areas. Let the pork marinate for 30 minutes.
  3. Place the pork shoulder in a roasting pan or on a rack in a baking dish, reserving leftover glaze. Roast in the preheated oven for approximately 2.5 to 3 hours or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Baste the pork with the glaze every 30 minutes, using all of the glaze before it
  4. Once done, let the pork rest for 15-20 minutes before slicing to retain its juices. Serve the glazed pork with any remaining cooked glaze drizzled on top.
